[PACE publishes toolkit for parliamentarians on preventing and addressing
migrant disappearances]<
Dear all,
Last April, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)
organised the conference on Envisioning effective public policies to
prevent and address cases of missing migrants<

followed up on the adoption of Resolution 2569, “Missing Migrants,
Refugees, and Asylum Seekers - A Call to Clarify Their Fate”, adopted by
the Assembly in October 2024.
As the first of its kind, it brought members of parliament together with
forensic practitioners, prosecutors, law enforcement officials,
representatives of international organisations, key civil society actors
including organisations bearing the voice of some families of people gone
missing in the context of migration.

En avril dernier, l’Assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de l’Europe (APCE) a
organisé une conférence intitulée “Concevoir des politiques publiques
efficaces pour prévenir et gérer les cas des personnes migrantes disparues<
https://pace.coe.int/fr/pages/conferencemissingmigrants>”. Il s’agissait
d’un événement de suivi après l’adoption, en octobre 2024, de la Résolution
2569 « Personnes migrantes, réfugiées et demandeuses d’asile disparues - Un
appel à clarifier leur sort ».
Cet événement, le premier en son genre, a réuni des membres de l’APCE, des
praticien·nes de la médecine légale, des procureur·es, des représentant·es
des forces de l’ordre et d’organisations internationales, ainsi que des
acteurs et actrices clés de la société civile y compris des organisations
portant la voix de familles de personnes disparues en migration.
