UNITED E-News June 2024 - Taking Action for Hope
Dear UNITED Network,
EU Parliamentary elections, projects, the UEFA cup and our Refugee Day
Campaign, June is definitely a month that call for action and unity.
For this reason we’re back with our action for World Refugee Day and to
talk about or List of Refugee Deaths, which has now reached the scary
number of 60.620 entries, meaning that 60.620 lives have been lost forever,
60.620 people have no more future.
And here we are once again to scream out loud *#nomoredeath*s and to
advocate for changing the Fatal policies of Fortress Europe that cause so
much death.
Seeking Safety to find a home.
Our aim is to push societies to become not only a safe refuge, but a
welcoming place that will allow people to belong, to uphold the beauty of
human rights and of the principles of solidarity.
We hope you’ll find our content useful and that you can be inspired to
start your own action or to join those near you.
You can find them on *Facebook
,* Instagram*
and Linkedin
or get in touch with us to have direct access. Also remember that you can
always find all the updates regarding the list and the *Fatal Policies of
Fortress Europe Campaign *here

Free to Download the Pamphlet “Football without Racism & Discrimination”
Since we care about the beauty of football and recognise its added value in
promoting the values of #inclusion, #diversity and #respect for all and as
part of our longstanding commitment against racism we are very happy to
announce our newest publication: the Pamphlet named *“Football Without
Racism & Discrimination”*, written in cooperation with Martin Širka,
member of our Network and representative of YMCA Serbia.
The leaflet provides important definitions and examples of racism and
discriminatory actions both on and off the field. It also shares
resources, initiatives, and projects aimed at combating these issues.
It’s in fact important to equip especially young people with tools and
resources to be able to recognise worrying attitudes and to develop
suitable strategies for responding and asking for support.
Sport is a passion that can unite and inspire people to be and do better
and it’s a shame it’s often used to express violence and oppression towards
others, especially when they belong to already marginalised groups. I
It will keep us company while following the amazing UEFA Euro 24 matches,
so take your chance and download it for free at this *link
and get in touch with us to know more!
